Hi there, For some reason the Revit Add In button is greyed out and When you link in a Revit file, a new tab appears in the Visibility/Graphic Overrides dialog box. Once in the application, select the “ Big R “, select Open, then select Project. To select the family, which is located in the linked Revit model, hover your cursor over it and tap the Tab key, and then select it - once it is highlighted. After the file is properly saved, I recommend that you do the following: a. In Revit, go to the application menu and click on Save as, Project and name as needed and save the file locally. In properties, the values are all grayed out, and read-only, since the element is in Revit unreliably handles CAD links. I have been working on a Revit implementation and just discovered by accident that you can include dimension parameters that behave like reporting parameters in the labels of Generic Annotations. The Fab Exporter in Revit will create an MAJ. Revit has a simple hierarchy for most elements, Instance -> Type -> Family -> Category. Sketch a closed loop using lines, rectangles, or polygons. Notice, the parameters for the selected family are showing in properties. Read-only parameters are greyed out in data-grid and hovering over them you will find a reason why they are read-only: Element does not have parameter, element belong to a group, element is owned by someone else in work-sharing environment, non-editable column or parameter from linked or other open project, etc.
